Where we are
Taltson Lake Lodge is nestled above a sandy beach near the mid-point of Taltson Lake, at 61 degrees north latitude, 110 air miles south of Yellowknife, in the Northwest Territories, Canada. The lake stretches out over 53 miles, with many bays and islands. Our new walk-in, King Lake, provides another 20 miles of un-fished water.
Taltson Lake Lodge is reached by flying to to Edmonton, Alberta, then connecting by jet to Yellowknife, N.W.T., and catching a float plane for your scenic one-hour flight to the lodge.

The capital of the Northwest Territories, Yellowknife is a great destination all by itself: if you're passing through on your way to Taltson Lake Lodge, be sure to take in some of its many attractions:
- The Aurora Borealis: Thanks to its geographic location in the heart of the Aurora belt, Yellowknife is one of the best places in the world to see the Northern Lights.

- Buffalo Airways: Meet Reality TV’s famous Ice Pilots and sit in the cockpit of a WWII-era DC3, still regularly flying.
- Festivals, Culture and more: Time your visit to coincide with the long-running, internationally renowned Folk on the Rocks music festival, which brings artists from around the world to the shores of Long Lake.
